Best known as a storyteller, Sarah's ability to dissect and translate a group of words into an engaging story has lead to professional work as a journalist, screenwriter, movie critic, memoir writer, actor, and public speaker.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a BA in journalism and a double minor in screenwriting and theatre, and has a diverse storytelling background.

As a writer, she began her career as a photojournalist in Haiti, Ecuador, and Nepal, writing with a focus on global poverty. From there she went on to win first place at The Nashville Film Festival for an original screenplay, and was 1 of 20 writers chosen for publication in "Time of the Month: Funny Female Storytelling."

As an actress, she is classically trained, while studying improv at UCB. has booked roles on ABC, Discovery, LifetimeBET+, and has appeared in 20+ national commercials to-date. She is also a mental health advocate and deeply involved in the push to end mental health stigmas, where she champions mental health awareness as a peer educator through the national program, End The Silence, is a member of The National Alliance of Mental Illness, and creator of Funny People Cry Too, a sold-out storytelling show where naturally funny people tell stories about their mental health.
